Currently, I am a post doc research fellow at the Institute for the Management of Information Systems (IMIS) of the Research and Innovation Centre in Information, Communication and Knowledge Technologies "Athena". I obtained my Diploma on Electrical and Computer Engineering and my PhD in Computer Science (under the supervision of Prof. Yannis Vassiliou) from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2000 and 2009, respectively.
My current research interests focus on the management of evolution of database schemas & information systems, the identification of evolution design metrics and the construction of design patterns for these environments. There is an on-going UoI-IMIS joint project, called Hecataeus, which combines the representation and management of evolution proccesses into a powerful tool. I am also interested in models and methods for the management of evolving interrelated semi-structured data as well as problems related to database preservation and archiving.
